Walk In Your Purpose

Are You Hiding Parts of Your Truth for Approval?

It takes a lot of encouragement, confidence, and strength to show up everyday as your natural self, not looking for approval, not suppressing who you truly are to fit in, not worried about what people have to say or think, not hiding your past to reach your future, or not being ashamed of what you have or didn't have.

I had a conversation with a friend about this topic and we discussed how many times have we shut out  or hide parts of our truth in order to be accepted at work, at home, or in society. How many times have rearranged our boundaries so you don't offend anyone or make them uncomfortable? How many times have we walked on egg shells and never thought about it?

Now I'll flip the question...what would it look like or where would you be today if you embraced yourself and was confident in who you are to the point that you didn't have to hide parts of you? What would be the outcome? Would your life change? Would your career change? Would you be happy? Would you be at peace...finally?

Reflect on who you are and what you have to offer. We all bring something valuable to the table. Don't compare your value to someone else's. Embrace your flaws, your past, your truths. That is what makes you who you are. Use your life as a testimony to help the next person. Stop hiding your truths and start being unapologetic about them.
